Photoshop Post-Production After conducting my production for my print advert I had to go through the photos and decide which one was the best to use out of the 20 photos that I had taken. My original plan to utilize the tools on Photoshop to crop one photo and put it on to another one was a good idea in theory, but not in practice. As I tried to use layers to create the image but Dylan's arm was way bigger than Saul so I tried to make his arm smaller than the glass and the water did not reach Saul's head or if it did Dylan's Arm would be disembodied. This made me try one of the pictures where the water was being poured over Saul in the same picture so I chose the picture below to be used in my project. The reason I chose this one specifically is that the models are more central to the camera than in other photos and not only this but Dylan is stood at a reasonable distance away to where he can be cut out of the photo and it still meets Saul's cigarette ...

Post Production Diary (Canon)

Photoshop Post-Production After getting back to college from South Hylton I went straight to work on photoshop to get the final product finished on time I was confident I would be able to achieve my vision for the final product and be able to add a bit of experimentation. The first action I took was to make the background red with the gradient tool. I made both of the gradient colours the same bright red so the full image would be the same colour, it was a pretty simple tool to use and really helped me achieve what I was going for. Next was to add the photos I had selected for the final product in order and in the centre of the image. the way I added the photos was by going into 'file' at the top left of the screen and clicking 'place embedded' which gave me access to my documents so I could add the images from there. Placing and adjusting the image size was a bit tricky because I actually wanted the images to be longer but I couldn't do that without messing with...

Evaluation (Canon)

Evaluation Initial Research At the start of this project, I had been given a brief including what the demographic was for the overall product, who the client was and what they wanted. Canon wanted me to create either an advert or an advertorial aimed at 15-25-year-olds so they could potentially earn brand loyalty from a youthful demographic. The overall theme of the advert was "Journeys" this could be an emotional or literal journey. At first, I was confident that I could reach this goal as I now have some experience with making posters and it's only the one product this time instead of two. The first step I took toward the project was getting to know the client. I learned that Canon is a Japanese company that makes cameras and other electronic appliances and has been going since 1937 and was founded in Tokyo and many other interesting facts about the company.
